Indiabirding.com team, Nirmal Solanki, Harshvardhan Singh Rathore and myself participated from Udaipur, Rajasthan as team 2 under leadership of Mr. N P Singh, a seasoned birder, now based in Udaipur. We started our birding at 7AM int he morning and ended at 10:30AM at Jungle Safari Park behind Pichola Lake in Udaipur city where we met our other Team 1 headed by Mr. Gunvinder Singh.
We all participated as members of Talon group of Udaipur which is a wildlife photographer’s group in Udaipur. Our team went o Barapal which is around 25KM from Udaipur city on Udaipur-Ahmedabad Highway. After counting almost 65 species there, we came to Raptor Sanctuary ( the dumping ground of Udaipur), near Valicha Village on Udaipur-Ahmedabad Highway.
We could not locate Flamingos, Eagle Owl etc. which are normally found in Udaipur. Anyway, our list was prepared by Mr. N P Singh after meeting with both teams. Here is the list :-

does anyone help in knowing which binoculars and camera one must but to star birding.
I am in Patiala and watch almost 20 species every day arround in urban estate and Punjabi University.I was happy with this much….. but watching the migrants, and so many more …. I need to feel the thrill.
